About Us

John and Denise Mercado established the Team Daniel Foundation in September 2008. The Team Daniel Foundation aims to educate families and the greater community about services and resources available to individuals with developmental disabilities. People with developmental disabilities are people first and deserve to live a supported, self-directed life within the community.

Individuals and their families are still faced with issues of accessing services that allow people to live full lives within the community. We are committed to sharing accurate, up-to-date information with families to make this road less difficult. One way we share this information is through the quarterly publication, EMPOWERED. The Team Daniel Foundation also supports families through the Respite Fund & Grant Fund .
